Two Months

For those not familiar with such things ... 13lbs puts him in the 90th percentile. To compare, G weighed 11lbs 7oz, putting him in about the 40th percentile. The doctor predicts that Chalupa will out weigh G by six months. Chalupa is a great eater but in my memory so was G. Chalupa came out of the womb eating every three hours and nursing for 10-15m aside. The nurses were all so impressed, kept saying, "wow, we wonly need to see one good feeding per 24hrs" and he was already eating 5/6 times per 24. This probably helped the milk come in by day 3. Me, taking nursing completely for granted (which I do), just kind of shrugged.
Their heights, for the interested, are both in the 40th. The doc says you can't put much store by the heights at this age because there is so much room for error.
I may have mentioned this the other day, but Chalupa seems to be a week or so behind in some of his benchmarks (smiling, being the one I was looking for). It may be a personality difference, and Chalupa being more reserved or something. But G was a smiley thing from about his 4th week on. Or maybe G's was just a lot of gas! Ha!
I give this to the weight ... but Chalupa is stronger than G. Has better head control, kicks out of his swaddle consistently, has just better motor skills and control. This is also because I know how to better encourage these things without putting pressure on his tummy (see below).
