Grady at 8 Months

So what are we doing?  Well we're sitting up really well.  We can roll over both ways.  Actually he has an easier time rolling back to front than front to back.  It's an arms get stuck issue.

He bounces while he sits.  Like he's trying to move forward.  We beat on things.  We mimic people.  We track our brother all. over. the place.  He worships G.  They roar back and forth at each other and both think its great fun.  It's their own language.

We now really like toys.  Which makes my life soooo much easier.

It's time to pack up the bouncer seat and the swing.  It breaks my heart.  It might be the final time for those.  It might be time to sell them.  Sigh.

We are sleeping ... better.  Not great.  He still has tummy issues and his teeth are just driving him nuts.  He doesn't have teeth yet.  His entire mouth is a swollen, red and white  pit of uncomfortable.  I have embraced giving him drugs.  He's just so unhappy.  Not during the day we distract during the day but at night I'm giving him meds.  He's miserable.

He is chun.ky.  I think he's probably in the 50s now for weight because he has slowed down (2lbs since January) but he's still getting bigger which is more than his brother did at this age.  Though it's not fair to compare because G I stopped feeding at night at 7 months and Chalupa I'm not eager to get rid of the night feeding (bc of what happened with G).  G also embraced solids more than Chalupa, who really dislikes purees.  He's about to start pulling up so I will move straight to table food.  He is eager to eat things off my plate and I've given him beans and string cheese, which he likes.  But he is still a bit young for that.  Few more weeks.

He has started playing with a cup but has limited success.  He is very tactile.  Picks things up with his feet and then moves them to his hands.  I've seen him do that twice.  It's pretty funny.  He also kicks at dirt and stuff.  He's pretty cute.

He still likes giving hugs and kisses and touching things.

Some of these I sharpened but mostly I didn't edit them.  It is a well lit part of the house (hence why all the pictures are there). I got some great ones as a sort of study of his chubbiness.  Big babies are super cute.  Not to take anything away from the adorableness of G...
