I'm not prolonging it because I want to prolong nursing, I just think that he will do better calorically if he's nursed longer. G would have been better served if I'd been smarter.
None of the pictures I uploaded show his top two teeth. Sheesh. He has four teeth. G keeps saying "he's got more teeth mama!" As if it is big news for him to see his brother with teeth.
He is sleeping great. I can lay him down awake and walk away. Sometimes he cries for a while but he usually settles in. I do rock him a bit longer than I did G, to try to make it easier on him. I spoil my babies.
He wakes up sometimes and I let him cry, not ever for very long and not straight. If he cries and then lays down, then gets up and cries again, I let him do that for quite a while. If it goes on too long obviously something is going on that he can't get over. (Usually he's gone to the bathroom).
In many ways he still seems like a complete baby to me. While at the same age, G seemed like a growing toddler. Not sure why this would be. I do think I have a faulty memory.

He was at home with Grandma today while G had a special outing with mom and dad and when we got home he made over G and just kept giving him kisses. We really think he was trying to give him kisses. It was very cute.
I do not think his hair is going to curls like G's did.
I can not believe he is almost a year old. The one year mark just really marks the end of his infancy and it's a big deal for him and me. We have almost survived. He is darling. And we love him.
